OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Annual Refresher – RCRA TSD Operations Training

Upon completion of the OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Annual Refresher - RCRA TSD Operations Training course, participants will achieve the following learning objectives:

 Gain a comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and requirements relevant to workers at Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs).

 Describe the EPA’s cradle-to-grave program for the management of hazardous waste.

 Explain the essential elements of an effective Safety and Health Program.

 Understand the fundamental principles of toxicology and articulate their relationship to chemical exposure.

 Understand the principles of decontamination and describe the methods used on hazardous waste sites.

 Understand the uses of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and effectively identify and select the appropriate PPE for specific worksites.

 Outline the various monitoring and detection tools available to workers at hazardous waste sites.

 List the criteria used for classifying hazardous waste generators into three different categories and the corresponding regulations applicable to each category.

 Recognize a HAZWOPER site emergency and demonstrate knowledge of the appropriate response procedures.
